I’m a Cheater: Nature Photo Challenge Day 2

This
is nature:

12769428_10207542959686452_334550069_nRight? I mean, can it count a little bit?

Leaves, butterflies, paper…made from trees?! So I guess that’s not exactly “trees” in it’s natural form, which is the point, sort of. Oh well. I’m going to use it, and cheat.

This challenge has been opening my eyes to how little time I have actually spent outside this winter. So sad.

But – there have been other, also important, things going on. Like colouring.

Yep. I said it. I had a wonderful visit the night before last with a very good friend of mine (Remember Elise-of-Upstairs?) where we drank some hot drinks, coloured our hearts out while talking and having a good old time.

And besides, Life lesson #462: If you can’t be in nature, colour it.
Yep, I just made that up. But I make a lot of life rules up, and I like the sound of that one.

I guess one more thing to say is one beautiful thing about where I live is the accessibility to the outdoors and the natural world, but the times I treasure most are the ones where I enjoy the views with a good friend. Even if the view is on a page on my table. It’s a beautiful thing, still.

PS: Thanks for the grace, y’all. I figure a cheating post is better than no post at all.
Maybe that’s kind of like a life rule too?

[I promise I will show you real nature tomorrow. I already have some photos all picked out!]

I love “colouring”! Just one of the great things I can do with my kids 🙂

Me too! It’s one of my favourite “kid” activities : )
